This is the official WCS - WarCraft:Source support/dev forum.

 WCS is an Eventscript modification for usage with Source games like Counter-Strike:Source and Day of Defeat:Source. Its "similar" to WC3:TFT for CS 1.6, so it implements WarCraft style game play where you can choose a race, earn XP, spend skill points for abilities/powerups or buy items to have some effects.

	For now, you can choose between a few templates, so its your choice if you better like a clean bright one or a darker stylish design. You can change the design when you click on "PROFILE" at the top, then "Look and Layout Preferences" -> Current Theme: change or at the right bottom of this page

Don't forget to join our Steam Group! Sometimes you can get help or meet famous race coders in the chat ;)

As you may know, there is a fork of WCS, called WCS:Python. Its all re-coded in ES 2.0 Python for better performance and features.

Now it seems the mod is stable enough to announce it. There are already converters for user and racefile from WCS 0.7x to WCS:Python and a bunch of custom races.

[News from 2007-12-11]

For all interested players and race-coders, we're offering a new "preview version" of WCS: v0.77

Its not final at all, but it gives some nice new features. You can get it at the download section, or check the forum here.

Note that it uses a new database layout: SQLite. So you cannot switch back to v0.75 if you don't like v0.77 or so. Thats why always make a backup...
