All I have to say is wow, very nice server. I decided to go in and see for myself what you guys have done; I say bravo! It is a very fun server, even when just starting off. The races are all within each other and are not overpowered, but still offer something new and exciting. When I clicked to join the server, the dl hit me and kind of amplified my want to play. Some may feel that long of a dl is aggravating, but in either case it was worth it. Good job on the server Koshy/TC, very well done and maintained.

Alright, this is my second review of your server. Was on it for the second time yesterday and it crashed, so that was one problem. I also saw the use of other races that had 100% invis that was annoying. Still, based on the fact that so many people still play it is fun, however, when on a small map it is quite a nuisance to play when you cant get four feet forward before you die. I suggest focusing on larger maps such as using Italy as a scale...

Went on again today, experienced the same thing with small maps and the 100% invis crap, need to look into that. Have you focused on anything to cause the lag to stop when first joining the server? Surprised to see that it lags so much when you first load and start to play a couple of rounds. It aggravates me as well, since the other day it was actually running pretty smooth for my first review. However, it has gotten worse for some reason... anything happen since yesterday or does it fluctuate?
(If it does vary, I don't think I can stand going anymore... fun to play with the people on there though, funny crowd)
The server will crash, no real way around this, what is good though is it comes back up in a quick fashion
It is a legacy server if you ask me, still running .75 WCS (although heavily modified). ESS, isn't really known for its stability either. Server stability is around 98% monthly (has degraded since some of the new stuff TC added to about 95%). Which isn't OMG the best in the world, but considering the other factors I think is pretty good.
Yes, bigger maps may need to come into play more so then smaller ones, but smaller ones are nice for less people and some are favorites because it is a frag fest
100% Invis crap, varies... some races are invis 100% for set time periods, some are 100% but you can see the weapon (like lurker), you can always buy dust of appearance to make all visible
or use a race that can turn invis races visible
This will also work for partially visible races.
Some people lag when you first get in, some people don't, it usually depends on your computer and your internet connection and sometimes the amount of players. Again I think some of this plays to the coding TC did recently, but it will take me looking at it again to really know.

Thank you. Yes, the download can be a pain, especially if you don't live close by (5 min or less if you live close by, 10 min usually if you don't)... but this I guess is the price you pay for lots of custom skins and sounds... I wish there was a way to say hey, the download is worth it, while you wait... or play music, but unfortunately this is not the case.
