[Tutorial] Effect coding for beginners
« on: January 22, 2018, 01:55:44 PM »
This tutorial is aimed towards people who are completely new to creating effects.

The goal with this tutorial is to educate you on the fundamentals of effect creation, and by the end of this tutorial making you able to start creating your own customized and unique effects for your races.

This tutorial will be written soon, please be patient.

Here are two lists of textures that can be used in both CS:S and CS:GO by default.
(There are sure to be more than those on the list, but these were the ones I use on my own server)

Yeah,

This would be really helpful to have as a resource to really put the finishing touches on our races. I myself have a set of barrows themed races I am hoping to release in the somewhat near future, I just want to get the effects right and test compatibility on CSGO for them first.
If you like WCS and are from AUS/NZ drop by our server to take a look.

I'd say this is a priority of mine, but not in the top.

WCS wise my first priority is to get my server up and running with the most recently updated WCS version, so that I can get to test a lot of races in an environment with active players.
Once I got a fair amount of races that's been thoroughly tested, I will make a little goodie bag or collection of reworked races that should be fully supported and tested on the new WCS mod, and release it for you guys to enjoy.
After these things I'll look in to the tutorials, but first i have to wrap up my exams, I expect my server to be up around the end of june. :-)

Thanks for the update Mani,

I'd be interested in testing some of those races of yours once your server is out ^^
